Oh Aviemore, that odd combination of tourists who have never set foot on a mountain (why are they there!?) and hardy mountaineers and winter walkers. Pray for snow, the Cairngorms offers some fantastic winter scrambling, walking and some technical winter mixed climbing.

Hut Capacity and Facilities

There are 8 male beds, 6 female beds and 11 mixed beds.

Bookings cannot be taken for specific dorms (except during specified times for families).

It is a modern house with central heating, washing machine, tumble dryer and en-suite dorms. There is also a storage shed for bikes etc.

Camping

There is camping space for 2 small tents.
