HowTo Join?
There are two stages to apply for membership of the PMC;
1. Prospective Membership and 2. Full Membership.
The first stage (Prospective Membership) allows us all to see if we are a good fit for each other and is completely free but is time-limited to 3 months (with attendance at a minimum of 3 meets/events), after which we ask that you upgrade your membership or your membership ends.
Prospective members are covered under the BMC Civil Liability insurance but will not be entitled to vote at AGMs.
For Prospective Membership, either download and fill in the same form as Full Membership, but ignore the payment instructions or click the nice picture on the right to access the online version of the Prospective application form.
The Application Form can be downloaded here in Microsoft Word or PDF format.
Already a member?
When it comes to renewing your membership you only need to go to this link to renew with your debit or credit card.
If you prefer you can download the membership forms there as well and send our treasurer a cheque.
Novice climber/winter mountaineer?
“The PMC is not a training organisation and doesn’t offer any formal tuition by qualified instructors, so please don’t expect this. Some experienced members may be happy to pass on their knowledge on an informal, occasional, and very much volunteer basis.”
